Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is a role-playing game for the Nintendo DS developed by Camelot Software Planning. Plot
The game picks up 30 years after the first two games in the series left off. At the end of Golden Sun: The Lost Age, the heroes succeeded in bringing the world-healing power of the Golden Sun back to the world of Weyard. In the years since, the immense power of the Golden Sun has changed nearly everything. Continents have shifted. New countries have emerged. New species have appeared. But the world is now imperiled by a new threat. Psynergy Vortexes, which suck the elemental Psynergy from both the land and power-wielding Adepts alike, are spreading across the world. The new generation of heroes – the children of those from the previous games – are drawn into the mystery behind the vortexes, as they cross a chaotic world that is succumbing to a new evil.
Characters
The game’s core team of characters is made up of the sons and daughters of the previous two games’ heroes. Characters from the original games including Issac, Garet and Kraden return, some of whom are playable at certain points.
Matthew is the son of Issac and Jenna, and the game’s main protagonist. Tyrell is a Mars Adept like his father, Garet. Karis is a female Jupiter Adept and daughter of Ivan. Rief[8] is a male Mercury Adept, student of Kraden and son of Mia. Antagonists include two new characters called Spade and Heart, who are members of a clandestine group.
Other characters include Himi, a priestess of Yamatai and a female Venus Adept who possesses the power of prophecy that she inherited from her mother; Eoleo, a Mars Adept, son of Briggs and the new leader of Champa, now a pirate kingdom (last seen in the previous game as a toddler); Stella, a female Jupiter Adept and member of the new human beast race that has mutated since the Golden Sun Effect. Excelling in the 5 senses, she can read the minds of her company and sense unique smells, and is able to use visualized Psynergy. Harumani is a male Mercury Adept and is a prince of the water kingdom Ayatayu.

Disney Epic Mickey is a Mickey Mouse video game designed by Warren Spector, with 2D cinemas by Powerhouse Animation Studios, Inc. and developed by Junction Point Studios for the Wii console, using Emergent Game Technologies’ Gamebryo Engine. Epic Mickey is part of an effort by The Walt Disney Company to re-brand the Mickey Mouse character by moving away from his current pleasant, cheerful image and reintroducing the more devious side of his personality. Spector has been collaborating with Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar in conjunction with the project. The November edition of Game Informer confirmed Epic Mickey’s existence. The game was officially announced on October 28, 2009 in London.
Gameplay
Epic Mickey is primarily an open-ended platform game with some RPG elements, and allows players to use their own solutions for getting through the levels. Epic Mickey features a morality system similar to games like inFAMOUS and Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. Different alliances, side-quests and power-ups are made available depending on the actions of the player. It is also possible to avoid boss battles if specific actions are taken.
The key feature of the game is the magic paint brush, which Mickey wields, that has the ability to draw or erase objects, using paint and thinner respectively. For example, obstacles can be erased from physical existence using the thinner and then restored using the paint, or enemies can be friended by revitalizing them with the paint or destroyed completely using the thinner. Mickey is also able to materialize objects from sketches, which have various effects. Two confirmed sketches, the clock and the television, slow down time and distract enemies, respectively.[9] Both fluids have limited reserves, adding a strategic element to game play: players must compromise between making various tasks harder or easier to accomplish. However, the fluids automatically but slowly refill and power-ups that quickly replenish the fluids are available in certain areas.
There are many varieties of enemies in the Cartoon Wasteland, such as Blotlings, the Phantom Blot’s henchmen, who come in various forms. The weakest form of Blotling, the Spatters, can be dealt with in many ways from destroying them to making them friendly. There are also the Mad Doctor’s Beetleworx, robots that are immune to paint and thinner and must be dealt with in other ways, and Oswald’s children, the bunny kids, who are not normally hostile and adore their “Uncle Mickey”, but impede his progress by doing things such as clinging onto him, which slows him down.
To travel between sections of the Cartoon Wasteland, Mickey traverses 2D side-scrolling levels based on his classic cartoon shorts, such as Steamboat Willie and Clock Cleaners.

Gameplay
The game plays similarly to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Players travel through various environments, such as a snowy mountain and a jungle. Players take control of multiple characters throughout the game. The game is controlled using virtual buttons on-screen. A virtual control stick is used for movement, while aiming is done by swiping on the screen. The controls can be customized in the pause menu.
Multiplayer
In addition to the single-player campaign, the game also includes an online multiplayer mode for 10 players. Modes include Capture the Flag, deathmatch, team deathmatch, and a mode in which one team attempts to defuse a bomb while the other team protects it (demolition). The controls and gameplay are the same as in the single-player, but killing enemies and securing objectives earns experience points, which allow you level up and unlock new weapons.There was also a glitch which took your rank back to 1 but this was just a visual bug and no information was lost. It is now fixed.
Reception
The game has thus far received highly positive reviews. Slide to Play rated the game a 4/4, and called it “top notch modern warfare on the go.” Pocket Gamer gave the game a 9/10 and their Gold Award. They said that “while it likely won’t be long before a new game raises the bar, Modern Combat 2 has for now set the new shooter standard.”
The game has received praise for its multiplayer. It’s been considered by many to be the most robust multiplayer on the iPhone and iPod Touch to date. In their review, Slide to Play said that “the character-tweaking mechanic isn’t as deep as the one in Eliminate Pro, but it’s more inviting to casual players and still feels extremely rewarding.”
IGN gave the game an 8.5/10 and said, “Gameloft’s shooter is genuinely the best in the App Store, eclipsing the previous high water mark: its very own N.O.V.A.”

Angry Birds is a puzzle video game developed by Rovio, a developer based in Finland. Since its release for Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch devices, over 6.5 million copies of the game have been purchased, and versions have appeared for other touchscreen-based smartphones.
Gameplay
In Angry Birds, players take control of a flock of birds that are attempting to retrieve eggs that have been stolen by a group of evil pigs. The pigs have taken refuge on or within structures made of various materials, including wood, glass, and stone, and the object of the game is to eliminate all the pigs in the level.
Using a slingshot, players launch the birds at the structure, with the intent of either hitting the pigs directly or damaging the structure, which would cause it to collapse onto the pigs. If all of the pigs are defeated by the time the last bird is used, the level is completed and the next level is unlocked. Players may re-attempt levels as many times as they wish, and may also replay completed levels in an attempt to boost their score.
There are many different types of birds used in the game. At the beginning of the game the red bird is the only one available. As the player advances through the game, additional birds appear, some of which have special abilities that are activated by tapping the touchscreen while the bird is in flight. For example:
* Red birds are simply launched at the structure, using their momentum to attack.
* Blue birds separate into three smaller birds
* Yellow birds speed up and dash into their targets
* Black birds explode on command or shortly after coming into contact with an object
* White birds drop egg-shaped bombs
* Green birds go back and fly in the opposite direction like a boomerang
* Big Brother birds behave like the standard red birds, but are bigger and cause more damage
Each level starts with the number and types of available birds pre-determined. The birds must be launched in the order provided, thus requiring the player to strategically use each bird’s abilities in order to defeat the pigs. In higher stages of the game additional objects located within the structure(s), such as explosives, are used with the birds to destroy hard to reach pigs.
The pigs themselves also appear in different sizes and with different abilities. Small pigs are relatively weak and easily destroyed either by direct hits or by debris from the damaged structures. Larger pigs are able to sustain more damage before being destroyed, and some pigs wear helmets as armor, making them even stronger.
Points are scored for each pig defeated as well as for damage to or destruction of structures. Bonus points are awarded for any unused birds. Players receive one, two, or three stars for each completed level, depending on the score received.
Additional levels have been made available through free updates from time to time. Levels are contained within chapters of the overall game story. These chapters include: “Poached Eggs” (released with the game in December 2009); “Mighty Hoax” (March 2010); “Danger Above” (April 2010); and “The Big Setup” (July 2010). A bonus area, entitled “Golden Eggs”, was made available in March 2010, and contains levels and features that are unlocked by discovering the golden eggs hidden throughout the game.
On 21 October 2010 a new version was released, Angry Birds Halloween. This version is not included with Angry Birds and is sold separately.

Shank is a 2D side-scrolling beat ‘em up developed by Klei Entertainment. It features melee and ranged combat. It was announced at Penny Arcade Expo 2009. Gameplay
Playing as Shank, players must travel on a 2D plane through each level defeating enemies in their path. Three buttons are respectively used for attacking with knives, a chainsaw and one of various guns, which can each be combined into various combos. Players are also able to leap onto or grapple enemies, as well as throw grenades.
Multiplayer
Shank features a cooperative campaign designed to be played locally, which is a prequel to the single-player campaign. The multiplayer allows players to play as Shank or his partner-in-crime Falcone.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is a video game for Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and iOS, developed by Rockstar Leeds in conjunction with Rockstar North. Gameplay
Chinatown Wars has a different presentation from previous games in the series. Instead of a ground-level view behind the protagonist or a top-down perspective, Chinatown Wars uses a fully rotatable camera angled down at the action.[12] Chinatown Wars also uses cel-shaded polygons with black outlines to produce a comic book-like aesthetic — a first for the series. The title takes place in the Grand Theft Auto IV rendition of Liberty City, with the exception of Alderney.
Unlike Grand Theft Auto IV, the player can disable as many cop cars as possible to escape the police instead of leaving a “wanted zone”. The more stars the player has, the more cops they have to take out for each level. For example, for a six star level, they have to take out six cop cars to get down to a five star wanted level, and so on.[13] Also unlike Grand Theft Auto IV, when the player is shooting at an enemy, and has killed the person, it locks onto another enemy, instead of still aiming at the dead person. There is also a drug dealing sub plot which allows players to peddle six types of drugs around the city. Players can make a profit by recognizing market conditions and demands based on geography and plying their wares accordingly. CCTV cameras work as this game’s secret packages which is destroyable via throwing a Molotov cocktail bottle & decreases the chances of being caught while making a drug deal . Chinatown Wars applies many Grand Theft Auto IV features such as the new next gen HUD. Ammu-nation returns in the form of an in-game website where the player can order various weapons through their PDA to be delivered to their safehouse. Official Nintendo Magazine described the game as “one of the largest, most complex DS games ever made”, with over 900,000 lines of code.
Platform differences
* The Nintendo DS version of the game takes advantage of the touch screen with functions such as controlling the PDA, GPS, the radio, access to the people on the map, or using Molotov cocktails and grenades. The top screen shows the game and storyboard. Taxi whistling is supported by the DS microphone.
* The PSP version features updated graphics, which are no longer cel-shaded, thus sporting a more “classic” look akin to previous games in the series (however, cutscenes are stylistically identical). Mini-games (such as filling Molotov bottles, drawing tattoos, unscrewing the car and boom panels, etc.) have been adapted from their touch-screen functionality to simpler, QTE-like mini-games. The PSP version also features extra missions and exclusive radio stations not found in the Nintendo DS version. However, PSP multiplayer supports only 2 players.
* The iOS version of the game includes on screen touch controls, a custom radio station that uses the iPod library, and the mini-games have been adapted to work well with capacitive touch screens. One notable feature lacking is NPC sounds; some reviews have criticized this saying that Liberty City seems “silent”. The iOS version also includes even more music and radio stations than the Nintendo DS or the Sony PSP.
Vehicles
While stealing a moving vehicle is similar to that of previous GTA games, Chinatown Wars uses a different system for stealing parked vehicles. Depending on the car, it can be started in one of a few ways. Older cars require a few turns of a screwdriver in the ignition, while other cars require hotwiring. Newer, more expensive cars require the player to “hack” the computerized immobilizer. It is still possible to flip cars or set them on fire. The player is unable to pilot any of the helicopters in the game, but he can still see the ones flying above him, although if a player uses a certain code on the Nintendo DS by using “Action Replay DS”, the player can acquire it.
Social Club
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars uses Rockstar’s Rockstar Games Social Club. Players can use this service to upload their gameplay statistics. Competitive and co-operative multiplayer modes are only available through DS to DS local wireless.
The features available through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection include chatting, trading items and sharing favorite GPS markers and stats with other players. Through the Social Club, players are also able to download new missions.
Soundtrack
Music for the opening titles of gameplay is the track ‘Chinatown Wars’ performed by Ghostface Killah and MF Doom and produced by Oh No of the Stones Throw Records.
The DS version of the game features music by Deadmau5 among others.
On top of the soundtrack featured in the DS version of the game the PSP version will exclusively feature music by Anvil, Tortoise, DFA Records, Turntables on the Hudson and DJ Khalil
The iOS version originally featured all the music from the DS version and also allowed the player to customize a music playlist using songs from their music library. A subsequent update added all the music from the PSP version.

SBK-X: Superbike World Championship is a motorcycle racing game developed by Milestone s.r.l. and published by Black Bean Games in 2010. The game features three modes of gameplay: the arcade mode, the simulation mode and the multiplayer mode. Also for the first time in the series the game features the Superstock and Supersport championships. There are also the new career mode, composed of eight years, starting at the STK.
Gameplay
Arcade mode
SBK-X features an intuitive mode named Arcade mode in which the player does not requires the precision and timing as in the simulation modes. The player also has at disposal the boost button which enhances the speed of the motorcycle during straights. In this mode the player may enter in the Story mode, in which he has to accomplish some objectives which include overtaking a number of adversaries or finishing at a certain position to complete.
Simulation mode
The simulation mode is focused on the more hardcore gamers who want to feel how is to really handle a motorcycle. However, the player may opt to play at a lower level of realism by changing the level of simulation to low or medium. This mode features the quick race, championship as well as the new career mode, in which the player has to rise through the ranks of the series to become a champion.
This mode also features an evolving track, which means that during the early moments of the weekend, the track still lacks the darker strips. As the bikes pass through the track, its grip raises thanks tires’ wearing out, creating a darker strip in the race line. Also, when it is raining the parts of the track where bikes pass most starts to dry up.
Career
In the Career mode, the players may create his own avatar and start at the lowest category, the Superstock. By finishing at the teams’ desired position, showing skill on the track, the player gains reputation points which are needed to attract attention of high profile teams and going to the other categories. This mode can be played for eight years and the final objective is to became a champion.

The game features a legends pack composed of famous former champions and famous bikers from the past or riding older motorcycles.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is a 2010 racing video game in development by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and iPhone. A version for Wii is also developed by Exient. The game will support 3D-display output on PlayStation 3 and Windows. Hot Pursuit has been described as a “revolutionary” addition to the Need for Speed franchise and is the 16th installment of the franchise, scheduled for release in North America on 16 November 2010, and in Europe on 19 November.
Gameplay :
Hot Pursuit goes back to the Need for Speed series’ roots and takes on the gameplay style of earlier “Hot Pursuit”-titles in the Need for Speed franchise with exotic cars and high-speed police chases. It is primarily inspired by the original Need for Speed on 3DO. Hot Pursuit lets the player play as either a cop or a racer and will feature a full career mode for both roles. The relationship between the cops and racers is described as “a dog chasing down a rabbit” with the cops being more powerful compared to the racers. Each side has several power-ups including calling for roadblocks and radar jamming. The game takes place in fictional location called Seacrest County. It is entirely open-world and features over 100 miles (160 km) of open road and, as a reference, it is four times larger than Paradise City, the city of Burnout Paradise.
Hot Pursuit also features a new social interaction system called “Autolog” described as “Facebook for the game”. The game features both single-player and multiplayer game modes with up to eight players; as an option to live multiplayer racing, player can post records and achievements on the Autolog-feed for friends to see, which they then can try to beat. Autolog also contains an experience system called “Bounty”. So far the only game mode revealed is “Interceptor 1 vs 1?, where one cop chases one racer, but more game modes are to be revealed. Other features include the player being able to add custom soundtracks to the game.
Cars
The driving model of the game is described as “fun and accessible”. It is not as arcade-styled as Burnout Paradise, but far from a simulator. All cars in Hot Pursuit are licensed real-world supercars, and the carlist is described as “all the cars you dreamed of driving, in the way you dreamed of driving them”. Most cars will be available to both racers and cops, but a few will be exclusive to each side. Also exclusively featured in the Hot Pursuit is the Porsche 918 Spyder. Ferrari however, last seen in a Shift DLC-pack but notably absent from all other Need for Speed games since Hot Pursuit 2, will also be absent from Hot Pursuit.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a two-part video game currently being developed by EA’s Bright Light Studio and will be published by Electronic Arts. Part 1 of the game will be released on 16 November 2010 in the United States[6] and on 19 November 2010 in the United Kingdom, France, India and Australia [7] to coincide with the film’s release date. The game will be released on the Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Mobile platforms.
Part 2 of the Deathly Hallows video game will be released in July 2011 to coincide with the film’s July 15, 2011 release date and will be available on Microsoft Windows, Nintendo DS, Wii, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Mobile platforms.
Gameplay
The gameplay for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will be different from the previous games after developers decided the game required a new direction to suit its growing adult audience. The player will control the character Harry Potter from a third person over-the-shoulder camera, and will be played in the style of a third-person shooter. The Deathly Hallows: Part I game will include a progression system where Harry gains experience and can upgrade his spells.
Combat in Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will involve casting spells by tapping the buttons (each a different spell) on the d-pad. The player will be able to change the spells on the d-pad by going to the menu and selecting the weapon wheel. Spells that have so far been included in Deathly Hallows: Part I include Stupefy, Expelliarmus, Confringo, Confundo, Wingardium Leviosa, Protego, Expecto Patronum, Petrificus Totalus, Finite Incantatem (to free other wizards from Petrificus Totalus) and a Four-Points spell that points which way to go. The spells will also have an effect on enemies and the environment with the player being able to use Wingardium Leviosa to throw objects at other players or to clear paths and the Confundo spell being able to make the enemy fight for the player (which is used in a sniper point of view). Head shots will also be a feature in the game with the player being able to control Harry to aim a spell at their opponent’s head. Part of the combat sequences will involve the cover-based gameplay to protect themselves against their opponent until it has been destroyed.
Potions will once again be involved with the player being able to mix Exploding Fluid, Elixir of Life (used for regaining health), Felix Felicis and Polyjuice Potion (for stealth missions)
Kinect mode
Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will have side missons which uses Kinect for the Xbox 360.The missions include battling against Death Eaters and Snatchers in environments from the game. The two-player missions will be played in on-rails shooter mode, where the player casts spells through hand and body gestures. By progressing through the levels the player aims to achieve the highest score which is then posted on Xbox Live.

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is an upcoming third person action-adventure video game in development by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and is a direct-sequel to Assassin’s Creed II with Ezio Auditore da Firenze returning as the main protagonist. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game are set to be released on November 16, 2010 in America and November 19, 2010 in Europe. Windows version is set to be released on March 26, 2011.
Gameplay
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood will keep its sandbox style gameplay in an open world of Italy. Like the previous installments, the gameplay’s core mechanics are based on parkour movements, crowd-blending stealth, assassinations and melee fighting system. However for the first time in the series, the game offers a multiplayer mode alongside 15 hours of singleplayer campaign.
Singleplayer
The player once again controls Ezio Auditore through the genetic memory of Desmond Miles using the Animus 2.0 (which is the game’s memory interface). It’s been confirmed there will be more modern day sequences featuring Desmond. As a Master Assassin, Ezio will have to reorganize his Brotherhood in Rome to fight against the Templars, now led by Cesare Borgia. (His father Rodrigo Borgia also returns, but not as the central antagonist.) Hence the new management system: the player can recruit new members by destroying any of twelve “Borgia towers” around Rome where papal troops are stationed, then rescuing disgruntled citizens in their districts from harassing guards. The player as Ezio can then send them to assignments around Europe or call them for support during missions (if they are not already occupied). Tasking the novice Assassins is essential to make them gain experience, and the player will be able to customize their appearance, skills and weapon training by spending the skill points they’ve earned. Although Ezio is a Master Assassin in this episode, his progression is not over and he will also have to master new gadgets, such as Leonardo da Vinci’s parachute, which can be used when jumping from tall buildings.
Having a “Brotherhood” will be a big factor in this game. Players will have the ability to control and customize your assassins by sending them on missions and earning skill points, which can then be spent to upgrade the weapons and armor of the assassins. The assassins can also assist the player throughout the game.
The player will have to rebuild Rome, which has fallen into ruins due to the corrupt rule of the Templars over the Papal States and concentrating all the wealth in the Vatican. Just like the village of Monteriggioni in Assassin’s Creed II, the player will be able to invest in the city to witness its evolution and unlock rewards.[8] The player will have to conquer and destroy Borgia’s towers to free city zones from the family’s influence.[7] Completing this unlocks new missions and opportunities. Rome is the biggest city ever created after the first two installments (Rome is three times bigger than Florence from Assassin’s Creed II[7]) and includes five varied districts: Vatican, Downtown, Tiber, Country and Antique. The players will be able to explore the entire city of Rome, visit a part of Naples, Spain and Monteriggioni.
The combat system has been upgraded to be faster and more dynamic. Striking first and offensive actions will be more deadly in Brotherhood than previous games where counter-attacks were the most efficient. This made the player wait until the AI strikes which slowed down the pace of fighting. The AI in this game is thus more aggressive and enemies can attack simultaneously. To dispatch them, Ezio can use melee and ranged weapons at the same time as well, introducing the hidden pistol in combat. It has been shown that Ezio can throw axes and spears toward his enemies. There are new enemy archetypes in addition to those seen in Assassin’s Creed II such as horsemen, arquebusiers, papal guards and others. New ways to kill have been added, one technique shown has been where Ezio stabs his enemy with his sword then shoots another enemy standing right beside him at the same time.
Horses play a larger role in Brotherhood, not only used as a means of transport (inside the city for the first time) but as a component of acrobatic sequences and advanced combat as well, allowing ranged weapons to be used while riding them. Brotherhood also introduced various types of horse-related assassinations, featuring horse-to-horse assassinations. There will be environmental objects like the flower pot in Assassin’s Creed II to move faster inside the city, as well as new objects such as merchandise lifts to quickly climb up high buildings or structures.
Multiplayer
Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood is the first game in the main series to feature full multiplayer mode on all platforms. The unique multiplayer mode was heralded by many at E3 2010 where it was showcased. It received recognition from the media. GameTrailers awarded it as the Best Multiplayer Game of the show.
The players are Templars in training at the Abstergo facility. They use the animi (plural for animus) seen at the beginning of Assassin’s Creed II to access memories of Assassins and then to acquire their skills using the “bleeding effect”. There will be various game modes and different maps, including the areas from the first and the second game like Florence, as well as new maps like Rome, Castel Gandolfo and Siena. The gameplay in multiplayer mode is similar to the core gameplay of the series, as players are required to use their assassination and stealth skills. Players earn points by completing each assassination without being detected and escaping after each kill. Breaking the cover makes player visible to other gamers and makes them easier to assassinate.
The multiplayer mode also includes leveling system, which allows players to unlock rewards by earning EXP points during the matches and gaining new levels. Players can then unlock abilities, perks and streaks. Abilities are active skills, which can be used again only after a cooldown time. Perks are passive skills, which can be equipped before the match and they are active all the time. Streaks are bonuses awarded for reaching certain number of kills or deaths.
The multiplayer beta was announced at E3 2010 and it will be exclusive for PlayStation 3 users. It began on 4 October 2010, with early access for Playstation Plus subscribers from 27 September, and ended on 18 October 2010. Three maps have been confirmed for the beta: Rome, Castel Gandolfo and Siena.

Gameplay
Overview
Black Ops is a first-person shooter. The player assumes the role of a foot soldier and thus has access to various firearms, of which two at a time can be carried, as well as explosives such as grenades and other equipment to fight enemies. When players are close enough to an enemy, they can perform a melee attack which ensures a one-hit-kill.
A character can be positioned in one of the three stances: standing, crouching, or prone; each affecting the character’s rate of movement, accuracy, and stealth. The player can directly dive prone from a standing position. The player can momentarily run faster before getting tired. When the character has taken damage, the screen glows red. Health regenerates by avoiding damage. When the character is within the blast radius of a live grenade, a marker indicates the direction of the grenade, helping the player to either flee or throw it back.
The game features weapons like crossbows (with alternative explosive ammunition), Dragon’s Breath rounds and ballistic knives. Brutality and gore are present, with a dismemberment feature.
Campaign
The player assumes the role of various characters during the single-player campaign, changing perspectives throughout the story. The playable characters are special forces operatives conducting black operations behind enemy lines. In this way, the player’s characters will have their own traits such as voices and shadows.
Each mission features a series of objectives that are displayed on the head up display, which marks the direction and distance towards and from such objectives. The player is accompanied by friendly troops who cannot be issued orders.
Although primarily a first-person shooter, the player will get to pilot a Hind helicopter and guide friendly troops from an SR-71 Blackbird reconnaissance aircraft.
The campaign is filled with scripted cinematic moments. One of them is a bullet time effect during the “Victor Charlie” level, activated when the player fires toward the last enemy of a Viet Cong squad.
Multiplayer
The online multiplayer mode of Black Ops retains the experience points and unlockable reward system that has been kept since Call of Duty 4. The game’s multiplayer focuses on socialization and customization.[10] “Create-a-Class 2.0? will allow enhanced personalization with appearance items as well as upgradable perks[12]: weapons will be extensively customizable with clan tag writing, emblems, attachments and camouflage painting. Even reticles can be modified. There will be more than one style for an attachment, which allows for a lot more personalized weaponry; for example, the player can choose between a Red Dot Sight or a Reflex Sight, both of which share the same traits only visually look different. Character models will depend on the first tier perk instead of the weapon’s type. Furthermore, face paints can be unlocked.
A currency system has been implemented allowing players to buy weapons, accessories and clothes. Players can gamble with their “COD Points” in a free-for-all based playlist called “Wager Match”, which is composed of four game modes. Time limited objectives known as “Contracts” can be purchased to gain more currency and experience points. New custom killstreak rewards include RC explosive cars, guided missiles and controllable attack helicopters. For the first time in the series, clips from online gameplay can be recorded. Players will be able to play alone or with friends against AI opponents in “Combat Training” with a separate progression system.
Some PC specific features that were taken away from Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2 will return, such as lean, mod tools, the developer console and dedicated servers. Dedicated servers will be exclusively provided by Game Servers. Steam will be the exclusive platform for Black Ops on PC, so the game will be protected by Valve Anti-Cheat.
The zombie mode of World at War will return as a four-player online and two-player split screen co-op mode. Limited editions of the game will offer four zombies maps from World at War.
The Wii version of the game will include in-game voice chat. This is the first Call of Duty title to include the voice chat feature for the Wii. Nintendo and PDP have partnered to release the first headset to be used with the Wii known as PDP’s Headbanger Headset.

Sonic Colors or Sonic Colours (see spelling differences) (???? ????, Sonikku Karazu?) is an upcoming game for the Wii and Nintendo DS. It was first announced on May 26, 2010 in a press release by Sega for Italy, and it included a teaser trailer. The game is set to release on November 11, 2010 in Australia, November 12, 2010 in Europe, November 16, 2010 in North America, and November 18, 2010 in Japan.
Gameplay :
Sonic Colors sees players playing as Sonic the Hedgehog, using a similar moveset to that featured in Sonic Unleashed, as he traverses each planet to rescue the Wisps from Dr. Eggman. The Wii version of Sonic Colors will use a mixture of 2D and 3D perspectives, akin to the day stages from Sonic Unleashed, while the Nintendo DS version will take advantage of the dual screens of the handheld, similar to the Sonic Rush series.
The Wii version can be played with the Wii Remote, Wii Remote and Nunchuck, Wii Classic Controller, and Nintendo GameCube Controller. The DS version is primarily controlled by the d-pad and buttons, but in some parts you can use the touch screen.
During the game, players can use the power of the colored energy obtained from Wisps, which are unlocked as the game progresses, in order to traverse the environments and explore new areas. There will be a total of 8 Wisps in the Wii version and 6 in the DS version, with some Wisps being exclusive to each version.
The Wii version features a ‘Sonic Simulator’ mode, in which players control ‘Sonic-bots’ through a series of challenges, either alone or with competitive or co-operative multiplayer, with two Sonic-bots (or a player’s Mii) able to combine Wisp powers. The DS version features Special Stages, similar to Sonic Rush, which require players to collect spheres of a certain color, as well as Time Attack and competitive multiplayer modes. The game will also feature online leaderboards for both versions of the game.

* Cyan Laser – Turns Sonic into a laser which can bounce off surfaces and travel through power lines.
* Yellow Drill – Lets Sonic drill through soft ground and water. Sonic loses a life if he is still underground when the power-up runs out.

* Pink Spikes – Turns Sonic into a pink spike ball which sticks to walls and ceilings.
* Green Hover – Sonic can hover and perform dashes across lines of rings.
* Blue Cube – Sonic is able to switch blue blocks and blue rings, opening new routes. When using it and landing on ground, nearby enemies can be destroyed.
* Purple Frenzy – Turns Sonic into a berserker that chomps through anything in its path, and increases in size every time it eats an enemy or obstacle.
DS version exclusive
* Red Burst – Turns Sonic into a fireball and allows him to burst in any direction.
* Violet Void – Gives Sonic the ability to float and to suck up enemies into his vortex.

Gameplay

If one player dies in two player mode, he can be brought back by hitting a DK Barrel that floats into view, similar to New Super Mario Bros. Wii. To avoid problems arising from differences in player skills, Diddy can hop on Donkey’s back to take on a more passive role, while his jetpack can be used to make some of his partner’s jumps easier. As in past games, Donkey can pound the ground to defeat enemies and unveil secret items, as can Diddy. The game will have two control schemes, with the standard system using the Wii Remote in conjunction with the Nunchuk, as well as a more classical approach employing the Wii Remote held sideways, both of which use motion controls for the ground pound move. In addition to common series elements like secrets and unlockables, there will also be a time attack mode. At least one animal buddy, Rambi, has been confirmed to appear in the game
